Rileys Dollhouse Day 3
In the photos below, you can see that Ive enclosed the top storage area. This will get a nice top thats hinged and will be a great place to put all the crucial accessories!
Ive also created and formed the pillars. Ive routed a 1/2" roundover on all 4 sides of each one - this will make them more friendly to little hands. In the photo below, Ive temporarily set them in place to see what they look like.
Finally, Ive gotten a start on the stairway. I need to make an actual stairway, so that it will look authentic. Next to scroll saw work, this is one of the more time consuming processes on a house like this. Ill finish the stairway tomorrow. It will need to be completely finished before I put the face on because I need to access the underside of it from the front...
